Rediscovering Me: How I Found Health, Happiness & Hope Again
“L’s” Journey
In 2019, my life took a huge twist when I became the special guardian of two of my granddaughters. Out went my career, but I knew they needed stability and a real sense of belonging, and that was more important than anything else.
Within months, I had gained four stone, even though my eating habits hadn’t changed. I was in constant pain, but the doctors didn’t seem to care. “It’s life, get on with it,” was all I heard. I slipped into a state of acceptance, but really, I hated myself and the life I was living. My mental health suffered badly.
Fast forward to February this year, when I joined a nutrition club that works with Herbalife. Since then, everything has changed. I’m now two stone lighter, I’ve lost 109.5 cm, and I’m rediscovering myself again. I feel happy, healthy, and full of life.
A Total Honour
✨ Meeting “L” was an honour. From our first conversation, I could tell her story carried resilience and sacrifice. Her shoot wasn’t just about photos, it was about giving her a space to feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
Every woman who walks through my door brings years of pressure, self-doubt, or simply the feeling of having lost a part of herself. These sessions aren’t just about lingerie and posing, they’re about reconnecting with who you are and learning to believe it. One client once told me that our consultation was worth more to her than an hour with her therapist, and I think that says it all.
L’s Turning Point
For L, this was a turning point. She didn’t just see beautiful images, she began to believe in them, to recognise the strength, beauty, and worth that had always been there. Watching her step into that confidence was inspiring.
After the shoot, L said
“Absolutely amazing! I still can’t believe this is me. This experience has been such a confidence boost after my weight loss journey!’”
This is why I do this work. Because it’s not only about photography, it’s about transformation, about helping women see themselves through new eyes and walk away with more than photos, with a renewed sense of self worth. Sarah 💕
