Our Story

A little bit about me, Sarah Tate and our Heathfield Studio…

Hello from your local award winning East Sussex Photographer.

We are based in the very beautiful market town of Heathfield, which is conveniently situated about 11 miles from Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne, and a mere stone’s throw from Uckfield!

My name is Sarah and I have been lucky enough to photograph my amazing clients for over 20 years now. I have always loved photography, and I established Sarah Tate Photography in 2002.

We have a very small team here; it was my aim to keep the business personal so that anyone who comes to us for a studio experience becomes a part of our little family. I can’t tell you how lovely it is to see so many of my clients come back time and time again to record their memories, and to be a part of their milestones is a real privilege.

I do love to experiment and it is through this experimenting that I have quite a diverse range of styles that I can offer you. It has also won me quite a few awards over the years and I am also over the moon to say that I achieved my Fellowship with the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers for my maternity and newborn photography and my Associateship with the BIPP for my project about maternity and newborns

I am very proud to be a mentor and judge for the Master Photographers Association too and I have acheived the first Fellowship in the Newborn Photography in the industry. I have all sorts of things in the pipeline, so watch this space to see what comes next 😉
