“Why Our Boudoir Experience Is About So Much More Than Photos”
Hi there,
If you’ve been following along with our posts, you’ve probably noticed that we like to do things a little differently here at Sarah Tate Photography. But I want you to know that your journey with us is about so much more than just taking off your clothes, lying on a bed or the floor, and hoping the photos turn out okay.
For me, the most important thing is YOU. I want you to start caring about yourself, not just on the day of your shoot, but from this very moment. Start thinking about how our boudoir and body confidence experience can help you reconnect with yourself, embrace your beauty, and step into a stronger, more confident version of you.
This isn’t just about capturing beautiful images, it’s about transformation. It’s about becoming the confident woman you’ve always wanted to be.
Take a moment to read “H”’s journey. Seeing how her boudoir experience helped her rediscover her confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, and I can’t wait to help you experience that too.
With love,
Sarah xx
Empowerment You Can See Every Day
“H’s” Journey of Self-Discovery
As cliché as it might sound, I’ve been really trying to embrace this journey of self discovery and self love. Over the past couple of years, I’ve been learning what it really means to just be with myself, rebuilding, reflecting, and figuring out who I truly am after my relationship ended.
It hasn’t been easy, but honestly, it’s been so transformative. I’ve grown, I’ve changed, and I’m slowly stepping into the person I want to be. Every little victory, no matter how small, has been about learning to love and accept myself as I am. This self love journey has been challenging, but it’s also incredibly empowering.
Overcoming the Nerves
I’ve wanted to do a boudoir photoshoot for as long as I can remember, but I always held myself back. I’d tell myself, “You’re not good enough,” or, “You won’t like the way you look.” Last year, a friend of mine had a shoot with Sarah Tate, and her photos were just stunning. Seeing her embrace the experience made me think, maybe I could do it too.
It also really helped that I’d met and spoken with Sarah a few times before the shoot, so we already knew each other a little. That familiarity made walking in way less intimidating and much more comfortable.
My Time at the Studio
Walking into Sarah’s studio, I was nervous, obviously, anyone would be, but it didn’t take long to feel at ease. The all female team was amazing, and we even shared a few giggles, which helped me relax even more. Melissa, who did my hair and makeup, is an absolute treasure. She listens to what you want and makes sure you feel confident and beautiful before the photoshoot even begins.
Once we started the session, something clicked. I felt confident, empowered, and surprisingly at ease in my own skin. I even caught myself laughing mid shot, which I never expected! This shoot turned out to be such a huge confidence boost.
Seeing Myself in a Whole New Light
When I saw the images later, I was honestly blown away. I never thought I could look like that. Sarah didn’t alter my figure, which at first made me a little nervous, but that ended up being one of the best parts. It reminded me that my body is good as it is. It’s seriously not perfect, but whose is?
Seeing myself through that lens gave me this incredible sense of empowerment and pride. Leaving the studio, I felt amazing, and now having one of those photos on my wall is a daily reminder to celebrate myself, my confidence, and my body. This boudoir photoshoot wasn’t just about capturing beautiful images it made see myself in a different light.
Why I Did It
For me, this shoot wasn’t just about the photos. It was about celebrating how far I’ve come in my self love journey, stepping out of my comfort zone, and embracing my body exactly as it is.
If you’ve ever doubted yourself or been scared to do something that challenges you, I can’t recommend taking that step enough. For me, this boudoir photoshoot reminded me that self-love is so worth it, and honestly, it’s one of the most empowering experiences I’ve ever had.
Come and talk to us?
We would absolutely love to see you in the studio! I know it’s normal to feel nervous, but even just a quick phone call with Sarah can make all the difference. It’s amazing how a little encouragement and guidance can help you step into your confidence and create an experience that could truly change your life.
