FAQs

  • Simple, plain-coloured clothes tend to work best, as well as clothes with a subtle pattern. It's best to avoid bold stripes and checks as these don't work well in pictures, try not to have half the family dressed in white and the other half in black as the contrast in the images can be distracting. It is best to try and coordinate with other family members in the photograph. If you are unsure then please give us a call. Sarah will liaise with you if you are having a Fine Art, or Newborn shoot as these shoots require further styling.

  • Yes we do; we make them print ready.  This means adjusting exposure, cropping if necessary, and other “fixes” to make the photo look good.  We do some touch ups automatically, but anything that’s a bigger job, for instance, brace removal, slimming, extensive blemishes/rashes, etc will require an additional fee.

  • Most people tend to spend an average of £300-£400, this does depend on your budget and how you would like your beautiful images presented. We have various methods of payment; we take all major credit/debit cards, BACS transfers and we have a 0% Interest Free option, allowing you to spread the cost of your order over 3,6,9 or 12 Months. Payment is made in full when you place your order unless you are taking out the payment plan.

  • We keep the images for around 6-8 weeks, and once your order is complete we periodically remove completed shoots from our hardrives as we take a lot of portraits and it is not feasible to keep them all. If you do not attend your viewing session we will contact you to let you know when your images will be deleted so that you can contact the studio to arrange another viewing appointment.

  • We love grandparents! After all, if your grandparents hadn’t been there in the first place, you wouldn’t be here now! So, yes, bring them along. The Session Fee has no limit to the number of people, so why not take the opportunity to get the whole family together. We’ll photograph everyone together, and the various family groups, and any other combinations you’d like.

  • All pictures are available in colour and black and white.  Sarah will help you with your choice if you find it difficult to decide.

  • Yes, no problem.  We’ve had mini motorbikes in the Studio before now! Musical instruments are another popular addition and will make your images truly personal.  If you have a hobby or a sport please bring along your kit.

  • Having photographed people and animals for over 20 years, we have a few tricks up our sleeve to help with keeping your pet still for long enough. Don’t worry!

  • We can comfortably fit a group of 12, including adults and children.  If you have a larger group then please call us to discuss the options.

  • Depending on your choice, the average time is between three and six weeks.  Occasionally this will be longer but in special circumstances, we can rush your order through if essential.

  • Yes, there is plenty of free parking nearby, we have one parking space directly outside the studio.  If you specifically need a parking space for buggies or disabled access then please let us know at the time of your booking.

If you still have any questions, then please get in touch, we would love to hear from you ❤️
