Newborn Baby Art in Heathfield East Sussex

Hello from our Photography Studio in Heathfield

Newborn Baby Art Heathfield East Sussex

We had such a lovely morning photographing a lovely young newborn who came into our Heathfield studio with his parents and big sister for a Newborn Baby Art Photoshoot.

He was just 9 days new and this is an ideal age to have his first baby photographs taken as a gorgeous newborn and he was an absolute dream to photograph, he just slept his way through most of the shoot; what a chilled young man and here is a little taster of one of the images Sarah captured.

His mummy had been given one of our Ultimate Newborn vouchers as a gift at her baby shower.  For those who are not aware you can purchase one of our Ultimate vouchers from our studio or website for £99 and this is will give you lots of special gifts including four photoshoots.  The maternity photoshoot includes hair and makeup by Melissa Tate Batchelor our resident hair and makeup artist, a Newborn Baby Art Photoshoot, Little Sitters photoshoot along with a My first first year and or a Cake Smash.  The voucher also comes with a few goodies, a hand knitted cashmere snugly from Sue Hill Handknits and a small cuddly toy, it doesn't end there though as you will have a complimentary 8x6 inch photograph with your maternity and newborn baby art shoot and vouchers toward products with the remain two shoots.  Definitely an ideal gift for baby showers, newborn baby and christening gifts. Just click here for more information.

We can't wait to see this gorgeous little chap next week with his parents to view his lovely newborn baby art images.

We hope you love this sneak peek as much as we do.

Love,

Sarah and the Team

Emma's Diary - Benjamin

Emmas_Diary2 Emmas_Diary1 emmas_Diary3 emmas_Diary4

Hello Everyone,

Today I want to introduce you to Benjamin who was born a bonny 7lb 7oz. I have known James for many years and it has been lovely to be able to witness this wonderful life milestone.

Coincidentally Elizabeth did as many mums to be do and joined Emma's Diary. It really is a great club to join if you are expecting as firstly it doesn’t cost you anything to become a member and you receive all sorts of goodies such as money off vouchers, free competition entries, a great forum to chat and share experiences along with all sorts of free goodies from Pampers and Johnsons, which will be invaluable when setting things up for a new arrival.

The other big thing with Emma's Diary is members get access to complimentary shoots with their local photographer and yep you’ve guessed it I am our local Emma’s Diary photographer and it was a real pleasure to welcome Elizabeth and James to the studio with young Benjamin. He was a little star and gave me just the cutest poses. It also gave me the chance to use some new blankets that are as soft as soft; I love them and they will be regularly used I think!!!

When Elizabeth and James come for their viewing they can choose an image that will be entered into the Emma's Diary Baby of the Month competition and this gives them the chance to win some monthly prizes. If they win they also get the chance to win the ‘biggy’ at the end of the year. It is great as it’s a way of showing off the beautiful babies I photograph and the chance to win prizes too :)

I hope you like the images as much as I do and I cannot wait to see Benjamin again as I know he can only keep getting cuter.

Happy Sunday and keep an eye out for Baby of the Month; if you see it, vote for our little Benjamin.

Love,

Sarah and The Team

Happy New Year Everyone!

We had a very busy 2015 and it has been so lovely to welcome new clients and welcome back returning ones. So let's ring in the new year with new little lives and we wanted to showcase some of our Sussex baby photography.

Last year we invited a few lucky people to come along for a Sussex baby photography session because we wanted to try out a different style of photography and to experiment how it can mix in with our usual more contemporary style of newborn. Here is just a selection of images and what a bunch of beauties we had come to the studio. We just want to say a big thank you for allowing us to photograph your precious newborns.

If you are expecting a baby in February and March we have 5 complimentary Sussex baby photography slots available to welcome in the New Year, so get in touch with us on 01435-862793 to reserve your space. Don't worry your booking doesn't have to me made until your little one makes his or her arrival.

We are very excited for 2016 and we cannot wait to meet you all.

Love,

Sarah and The Team

It's me again your friendly newborn baby photographer sussex

This week's blog is a real treat in the form of her gorgeousness Flossie May who came to see us when she was just 13 days old. We always love to have our newborns visit the studio within the first 14 days of their arrival. The true newborn stage is so fleeting to capture it is truly magical. There is nothing like having a dedicated session, as much as it's lovely when their pictures are taken in the hospital by the photographers that pop in, it's not the same as coming to the studio to create something more arty in very relaxed surroundings. For many of my lovely parents this is probably the first time when they can be completely alone (bar me) with their gorgeous new baby. Those first few days can be quite hectic with all the hub bub of relatives visiting and just getting used to being a new family. When you come to the studio the atmosphere is calm; you won't have any impromptu visits so you can really concentrate on watching your gorgeous baby being photographed and generally having a smidgen of 'you' time!!

Anyway back to Flossie May, Oh I do just love that name; she was a treasure, her Mummy and Daddy Ellie and Ben weren't bad either ;) I love these images as they really demonstrate the calm and tranquillity of the session, so I hope you love them as much as I do. I think Flossie May was quite the star in front of the camera and we were so honoured to be the ones capturing her photographic debut, I am sure she is going to be a red carpet stunner when she grows up, and Flossie May if I can make it I will be there to capture that too!!!

Have a happy week everyone and check back soon,

Sarah Tate Photography - Sue Hill Handknits Photo Shoot

Earlier this month we photographed Sue Hill Handknits’s latest collection at our studio in Heathfield, East Sussex.

We have been lucky enough to have been photographing Sue’s collections for many years, and at many different locations. If you

have not yet had the pleasure if seeing and (feeling!) Sue Hill’s merchandise then you really need to pay a visit to her shop situated in the lovely Pantiles, Tunbridge Wells.

Sue’s clothes are all handmade from the most exquisite materials and the knitted items are made from the finest cashmere products, as you can see Sue's styles are very traditional and her cashmere hand knits and Liberty print baby clothes are sold in some of the best stores in the world including Fortnum & Mason in London, Bergdorf Goodman in New York and Ma Mere in Tokyo as well as other stores, even earlier this year Prince George was photographed wearing one of Sue Hill’s romper suits !

Peter Grugeon Award nomination 2014 - BIPP Associateship - Sarah Tate ABIPP

I am extremely pleased to announce that the project I have been working on for the past  two and half years photographing many lovely pregnant couples and their delightful babies, has gained me an Associateship qualification with the BIPP (British Institute of Professional Photographers).

On top of the associateship, my work has also been selected by the judging panel to be put forward for the "Peter Grugeon Award 2014” which is to take place in Hertfordshire later this year.  Being nominated for the 2014 Peter Grugeon Award (named after the late Peter Grugeon FBIPP, best remembered for his images of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in the 1970s) is really a great honour , and to receive such recognition is pheunominal as only a handful of photographers are nominated each year.

I am now starting to work for my Fellowship !! so ladies if you are having a baby in the next couple of months and would like your lovely bump photographed, or if you would like photographs of your newborn baby then please give me a call at the studio …..

Sarah Tate  (ABIPP)

Peter Grugeon Nomination 2014

Pregnancy Bump2Baby photographer of the year 2014

Well, what an exciting time it's been for me recently, following my success in winning "Bump2Baby photographer of the year 2013", I again entered  this year, only to find that this years entry of a father kissing his unborn child, took first place in the competition. Well, apart from my delight in winning, I can share my success with the couple in the photograph who will receive a prize of £500.

If  you would like to have photographs taken during your pregnancy or even like a chance to take part in next years exciting competition, then why not give me a call at the studio, I am bursting with lots of new ideas using different backgrounds and lighting techniques and would love to see you and your partner either during your pregnancy or after baby is born, this could be followed up with our "watch me grow" package with photographs being taken at Four, Eight and Twelve months of age.

Our Maternity, pregnancy and new born sessions are proving to be a great success and very popular with many parents and parents to be.

I look forward to seeing you soon in the studio.

Sarah

Sussex Portrait and Maternity Photographer - Sarah Tate Photography Blog

What can I possibly say in this blog that isn’t going to bore you, or myself for that matter!!

Some Blogs just seem to be a regurgitation of an essay we had to do at School entitled “What I did this weekend” And quite frankly, do you really want to know what I did this weekend?

So I will try and inform you of developments at Sarah Tate photography and stuff that I think you really should know that has been flitting around inside my head waiting for a conduit, and these blogs will be that conduit. So strap in and prepare for a wander around my mind.

The recent Le Marche was fantastic, the sun shone and I thought Heathfield was shown off at its best – a festival atmosphere with food drink and friendly faces everywhere. One of the joys of being a local photographer is that I see people I have photographed in the past and can see them blossoming- nothing gives me greater pleasure than taking photographs at peoples weddings, Birthdays and social events for people I first photographed when they were in primary school – although it is somewhat ageing!!

I sold a record number vouchers during Le Marche and am gearing up the Studio for a busy time leading up to Christmas – don’t forget to get photographs done of your little darlings before they disappear to college or university – they will make a fabulous Christmas present.

FREE MONEY– that got your attention didn’t it, well done for making it this far into my Blog. I won First Prize for a Maternity Photograph and got some lovely prizes, but more importantly my models Emma and Hannah won £500!! Cash, for sitting and looking beautiful, easy peasy! This was all part of the Bump 2 Baby programme, which comprises of a free pregnancy photograph and a complimentary photograph of your newborn baby.   So, if you and your gorgeous baby want to be in with a chance – just enrol on the Bounty website or see my website for details.

TALKING OF MODELS, as I was, I am thrilled to announce that I have got two male models lined up for the Dudeoir pictures – so keep an eye out for the window display in my studio window, but please also keep an eye on the traffic lights  - I don't want the fence disappearing again!

I have also done a Hollywood style 40’s photoshoot, and I have to say, the results where rather good, which just goes to show that I can produce any style you want.

I have got to go, my glamorous P.A. Miss Pew, returns to the office today and I have to clean and tidy and get her desk in order before she comes in a puts me in order!!

So, anyway, what I did this weekend was spend the time with my gorgeous Grandchildren, taking photos – bliss.

I would like to thank all the ladies, gentlemen and newborn babies that have given their time this year to help me with my project of photographing Pregnancy and Newborn Babies, the response has been fantastic and we have had many laughs along the way.

Although I am nearing the end of my project I have decided that I would like a few more shots, therefore I am asking if any of you pregnant ladies, your partners and any siblings that you may have would like to take part in one of my photo shoots and to help me complete this project then please call me at the studio.

Ideally you will need to be around 36-39 weeks pregnant or your baby needs to be no more than 2 weeks old! I am offering a free photo shoot and makeup along with an 8x6 print of your choice.

I look forward to hopefully hearing from you.
