Hi All,

Welcome to the East Sussex wedding photography of Christy and Carlo on Mid Summer’s Day this year, it was an enourmous pleasure with the ceremony at  All Saints and St Richards Church in Old Heathfield with the reception being held at Blackstock Barn in Hellingly.

This wedding was very special to me as I have known Christy and her family for many many years with the children growing up together and attending All Saints and St Richards Primary School, so the ceremony at the church was very poignant.  There is nothing more special that watching your bride grow into a beautiful young lady and then to photograph her lovely bump and little bundle of joy.  I do love my newborn photography and I was so pleased that Christy and Carlo wanted to do our B2B Programme and have gorgeous Christian photographed during his first year.

So back to the wedding, which as I have mentioned started at All Saints and St Richards Church in Old Heathfield, East Sussex, this church is absolutely lovely set in Old Heathfield with the Star Inn public house  at the rear, perfect combinations all round !

Carlo and the boys started at the Star Inn for a few calming pre wedding drinks with his best man, close friends and family.  We were able to photograph this as we always work with two photographers; Tony my partner took the photos of the boys whilst I stayed with Christy and her family at her parents’ house taking all the pre bridal shots – I always feel very privileged to be involved in capturing  this personal part of a bride’s day..

Christy arrived looking stunning (as you can see from the photographs) in a dress by Dreams Bridal in Horam, and preceded down the aisle to the awaiting Carlo, such a proud look on Christy Dad’s face ! I managed to get some lovely shots from the front of the church which really captures the emotions of the couple.

Christy and Carlos had a few drinks at the back of the church, which gave me ample time to take  some “formal” group shots before the couple where showered with confetti and we headed to Blackstock Barn in Hellingly for the reception. You can see from the  images I have posted today that Blackstock Barn is a very relaxed and friendly venue offering plenty of woodland for some fabulous photographs! The grounds also make the ideal back drop for lots of relaxed and informal shots which we took of the guests enjoying themselves and after the sit down meal was finished some great speeches took place with hardly a dry eye remaining!

A great wedding Christy and Carlo, and I wish you both a very long and happy marriage and I cannot wait to photograph any other future milestones you might have 😉

Sarah 🙂
