With a string of awards for her Maternity Photography including Bump 2 Baby Photographer of the Year 2014/2015 for the second year running and first Place in the South East Region Master Photographer Awards 2012 in the Fine Art classification and First Place the previous year for her Pregnancy Image in the Contemporary Portrait classification, Sarah is fast becoming one of Sussex’s leading Pregnancy photographers.
The pregnancy photography session will take about 1 hour, but I always allocate enough time to get a great range of images. As an experienced pregnancy photographer I like my clients to have time to enjoy the session and not to feel rushed, plus I will try a mixture of poses and lighting styles.
I’d recommend booking a pregnancy portrait session about 3-4 weeks before your due date. We need a decent sized “bump” to show that you are actually pregnant but not so close that hot towels and a fast car are required! it is your choice whether you would like your partner and other children to be in your photographs, we can do a little of each!. Some couples bring along accessories or nursery items such as booties, cuddly animals or any other significant baby toys, these are then incorporated into your shots.
Don’t worry about stretch marks, most women have them when pregnant, everything is captured digitally and these can be airbrushed out so you’ll have a beautiful maternity photo to show off!
Once your little bundle has arrived have a think about newborn baby photography as the first weeks are a magical time for you to get some great images whilst they are still so small.
If you’d like to know some more information or chat to me about my work as a pregnancy and newborn photographer then please feel free to give me a call. You can see samples of my work in my pregnancy gallery on my website or you can call me at the studio in Heathfield and make an appointment to come along and have a chat and see some more examples.
